Dear New Concepts Community,
First and foremost, we'd like to acknowledge and compliment you on your persistence and ability to remain focused on your mental health and sobriety through such challenging times. As an organization, New Concepts remains committed to serving as a safe and responsible resource for those suffering from Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.
In response to COVID-19, New Concepts remains dedicated to facilitating a strong screening and surveillance program that identifies any potential COVID-19 cases in either our clients or staff. Our onsite screening and surveillance programs, coupled with our mitigation efforts (which include maintaining six feet of social distance, requiring patients and staff to wear face masks or coverings, and enhanced sanitation measures), are working.
Along with enhanced sanitation measures and social distancing practices, here are the most recent operational changes we want you to be aware of:
- Everyone presenting for work or services will submit to having their temperatures taken. If temperatures exceed 100.3 degrees, you will be asked to exit the building and advised to take a COVID test.
- We are accepting new clients, but by appointment only. Calls are being answered to schedule new intake appointments.
- Telehealth services will be an option for individuals experiencing symptoms of any infectious diseases.
- Case management services are available to assist our clients in linkages to medical services, securing food and other items essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, developing a community support system, and addressing other areas of concern.
- Our existing clients should immediately call our after-hours line at (419) 975-5402 should a CRISIS occur. Please only use this number for CRISIS situations, not for general questions (is the agency open, what time is an appointment, when will transportation arrive, etc.).
Our community will continue to experience our dedication and unwavering support during this time of uncertainty.
We also want to take a moment and thank all of our government officials, medical personnel, first responders, and other community behavioral healthcare organizations for their unwavering resolve to meet the rising demands of those in need of our care.
We will continue to adhere to and implement CDC recommendations related to providing services safely and responsibly.
Stay safe, and continue to prioritize your treatment.
